Configure Your Agent (Make Every Task Smoother)
This guide shows you how to set a default Agent and adjust it to match your workflow.
1) Open Settings
- Click “Settings” (top-right).
- Find “Agent” (or a similar menu name).
If you can’t see this menu, you likely don’t have management permissions. Please ask an admin to help configure it.
2) Choose a default assistant
- Under “Default assistant”, pick the assistant you want from the dropdown.
- If you see a second dropdown (optional), it represents different presets/modes for that assistant.
- If you’re unsure, choose “Default”.
Once saved, it will be used for tasks you create going forward.
3) (Optional) Create presets for different scenarios
If you prefer different styles for different situations (for example: more cautious, faster iteration, more testing), you can:
- Create a new preset
- Give it a memorable name
- Switch presets from the dropdown when needed
Tip: start with the default preset first, then fine-tune gradually.
4) (Optional) Set code review preferences
If you often use code review, add a short review preference so reviews better match your expectations.
Example (copy and customize):
- Prioritize critical issues that may break behavior
- Check security, performance, and edge cases
- Provide concrete, copy-pastable suggestions
- Keep the conclusion concise and sorted by severity
5) FAQ
- Shows “Not available / Not ready”: follow the on-screen prompts to sign in or install required dependencies, then refresh and try again.
- Changed the default assistant but nothing seems different: the new default mainly affects tasks created after the change; existing content may remain unchanged.
